A Sefton drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Purple Rain Lounge, a pub, bar or nightclub at Forge Brasserie, Queen Anne Street, Southport was given the score after assessment on July 5, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Sefton's 255 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 218 (85%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
