New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of St Helens’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of St Helens’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Broad Oak Fish Bar, at 26 Broad Oak Road, St Helens was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 25.

And Buttylicious, at 26 Nutgrove Road, Thatto Heath was given a score of two on January 25.

It means that of St Helens's 180 takeaways with ratings, 55 (31%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
