New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of St Helens’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of St Helens’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Wing Wah, at Wing Wah Takeaway, 73 Sherdley Road, St Helens was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 14.

And Milano, at 2 Bridge Street, Newton Le Willows was given a score of three on February 14.

It means that of St Helens's 176 takeaways with ratings, 56 (32%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
