A St Helens drinking establishment has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Simms Road Inn, a pub, bar or nightclub at 532 Garswood Road, Ashton In Makerfield was given the score after assessment on January 6, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of St Helens's 143 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 72 (50%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
