A St Helens drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A St Helens drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Ashton-In-Makerfield Golf Club Ltd, a pub, bar or nightclub at Ashton In Makerfield Golf Club, Liverpool Road, Ashton In Makerfield was given the score after assessment on March 29, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of St Helens's 150 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 69 (46%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
