A Wirral takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Avenue, a takeaway at 391 Upton Road, Noctorum, Wirral was given the score after assessment on May 11, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Wirral's 351 takeaways with ratings, 145 (41%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
