Dame Laura and Sir Jason Kenny champion Cheshire Cancer Charity at star-studded launch
Olympians Laura and Jason Kenny joined fellow cycling stars and North West business leaders in Cheshire to launch a new partnership between CAMS and North West Cancer Research.
Britain's most decorated cycling couple, Dame Laura Kenny and Sir Jason Kenny, were joined in Cheshire by fellow Olympic champion Ed Clancy OBE and leading figures from the cycling and business communities across the North West to celebrate the launch of a landmark new partnership between CAMS (Cycling Accident Management Services) and North West Cancer Research (NWCR).

The event marked the beginning of a two-and-a-half-year partnership that will see CAMS become NWCR's largest corporate and leading legal partner, representing a significant long-term commitment to funding life-changing cancer research across the region.
Founded in 1996, CAMS has become the UK's leading provider of post-accident support for cyclists, working alongside sister company Bond Turner to provide expert legal and rehabilitation services following cycling and road traffic accidents. The organisation is proudly represented by some of Britain's biggest cycling names, including Sir Bradley Wiggins, Dame Laura Kenny, Sir Jason Kenny, Ed Clancy OBE, Adam Blythe, Amy Hudson and Ruby Isaac.
The collaboration officially launched during a star-studded Golf Day and Gala Fundraiser at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa, bringing together supporters from across the cycling world and wider business community.
Over the next 30 months, CAMS will play a central role in supporting vital scientific research while helping to raise awareness of NWCR’s work through fundraising initiatives, high-profile events and community engagement across Liverpool and the wider North West.
The partnership reflects both organisations' shared commitment to supporting people, communities and the sport of cycling.
Dame Laura Kenny, who was recently announced as a CAMS Ambassador, commented: "Cycling has been such an important part of my life, so I know how devastating it can be when an accident keeps you off your bike.
“I'm proud to become a CAMS Ambassador because the team are dedicated to helping cyclists get back on the road, supporting them through what can be a difficult time and ensuring they have access to the expertise and care they need.
“It's fantastic to be working with an organisation that shares my passion for keeping people cycling safely and confidently."
Samantha Moss, Director of CAMS and Bond Turner, said: "Our region is home to hundreds of thousands of cyclists, and the sense of community between them is unrivalled.
"In over three decades of working to help cyclists in need, we have seen how their spirit and determination feeds into everything they do, alongside their selflessness when it comes to helping others.
"Our partnership with North West Cancer Research speaks directly to that ethos. It's about being part of something bigger and making a lasting difference by helping to fund vital, life-saving research for years to come."
Alastair Richards, CEO of North West Cancer Research, commented: "It gives me great pleasure to announce that CAMS will be our charity partner over the next two and a half years.
“This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for North West Cancer Research. CAMS' support will enable us to do more, reach further and continue funding the life-changing research that is so desperately needed across our region. I would also like to thank everyone at CAMS for believing in our mission”.
Throughout the partnership, CAMS will support NWCR through fundraising campaigns, event sponsorship and wider promotional activity designed to increase awareness of the charity's work and expand its reach across the region.
The partnership will also see CAMS become the exclusive legal partner for one of the North West's largest cycling events in July 2027, when the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool ride brings together thousands of cyclists of all ages to raise funds for cancer research.
