Dozens of adorable dogs and puppies are looking for loving forever homes in Liverpool and Merseyside this February.
Dogs Trust’s Merseyside rescue centre is located on Whiston Lane in Huyton and serves Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, Wirral and St Helens. The charity can care for up to 85 dogs at any time, and there are many who would love the chance to find a permanent place to call home as soon as possible.
A variety of dog breeds and ages are available for adoption, including Pugs, Greyhounds, Lurchers, Pomeranians, Bulldogs and more. There are even adorable puppies and young dogs ready to find homes.
Below are 16 of the rescue centre’s charming residents, who would love to find a permanent home in Liverpool and Merseyside. More information about the adoption process is available via the Dogs Trust Merseyside website.

9. Luka - Pomeranian
Luka is a Pomeranian cross who is in need of an experienced and active, adult only home. He could potentially live with a well matched female dog and a confident cat. He is house trained and once settled could be left for a couple of hours without worry. | Dogs Trust Merseyside

10. Lulu - Patterdale Terrier
Lulu is a Patterdale Terrier. She will need to be the only pet and any children in the home must be of high school age. She will require someone at home all the time as she does not cope well when left alone. A secure garden will also be essential, as will need a refresher on house training. She is an active girl who loves her walks and loves doing our agility course. Lulu would make a great companion for someone. | Dogs Trust Merseyside

11. Ronnie - Cocker Spaniel
Ronnie is a Cocker Spaniel. He is looking for a quiet, low-occupancy, adult home. He will need to be the only pet, and he is house trained and can be left alone for a couple of hours. | Dogs Trust Merseyside
