David Lloyd Leisure reveals plans for six-acre Wirral wellness and fitness club with spa garden and pools

The leading wellness group has submitted proposals to Wirral Council for a six acre club in Peel Waters’ Bidston Dock site, right in the heart of the Wirral Waters development.
If approved, the proposed club will create up to 100 new jobs upon completion and offer a wide range of facilities, including three weather-protected tennis courts, the biggest padel facility on the Wirral, heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an indoor spa, outdoor spa garden, a gym and sports halls.

Hide AdOther facilities include a children’s play area and a cafe lounge.


David Lloyd Leisure has made a commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030 and says the new club will incorporate the latest in sustainability technology to ensure it operates ‘as efficiently as possible’.
In addition to the anticipated 100 jobs once the club is open, the construction phase is expected to generate around 60 jobs, offering further employment opportunities to the local community.
