Dogs Trust are hoping to find forever homes for the adorable animals in their care and get their 2023 rehoming campaign off to a great start.
Due to the cost of living crisis, many owners are taking their pets to rescue centres, as they can no longer afford to care for them. Dogs Trust says every week, around 1,000 people are making the call to give up their dog.
There are a range of puppies and dogs, at Dogs Trust Merseyside hoping to make your family complete - including a Pomeranian, Chow Chow and American Bulldog.
Take a look at the lovely dogs below to see if you could give one a loving home.

9. Sophie
Sophie is looking for a foster home with her daughter Elsa, while both are waiting for results of some medical investigations. Soph and Elsa need to be the only dogs in the home but can live with children over the age of eight, as they can jump up. Both girls need a home without cats as they will chase!
10. Patch
Patch has had a difficult life and needs a specific home with adopters who are willing to work him and Dogs Trust’s rehabilitation trainers. He had no access to beds or toys when younger, so now he puts very high value on both, and it needs to be properly managed. When it comes to other dogs, Patch is quite reactive, although he has been brilliant in the past.
11. Buddy
Buddy is a handsome three-year-old Collie Huntaway cross who is looking for an active but specific home. He really doesn’t like motorbikes and quad bikes so he’ll need to be rehomed to a relatively low traffic area.
12. Emmie
Emmie is sadly an unclaimed stray. She’s a beautiful big and bouncy girl with a lot of energy and she just loves to play. A friendly crossbreed, she will need to be the only dog in the home but with friends outside.
