Dogs Trust are hoping to find forever homes for the adorable animals in their care.
Due to the cost of living crisis, many owners are taking their pets to rescue centres, as they can no longer afford to care for them. Dogs Trust says every week, around 1,000 people are making the call to give up their dog.
There are a range of puppies and dogs, at Dogs Trust Merseyside hoping to make your family complete - including a Labrador cross and Frenchies.
Looking for a new pet but believe in the ‘adopt not shop’ mantra? We’ve got you covered. Take a look at these wonderful dogs, who just want to be loved.
Teddy is looking for a home with other pets or children under the age of 16. He is house trained and can be left alone for a few hours. His new family must be confident at administering medication through an inhaler as Teddy has asthma.
6. Buster
Buster is a Retriever (Labrador) cross and is looking for a family to adopt or possibly even long term foster him as he has been at the centre since early March 2022. He needs a home without other pets and where any children are aged around 13. He is perfectly house trained and can be left for 4 to 6 hours once he’s settled in.
7. Wren
Wren is such a tiny dinky little Collie and couldn’t be more appropriately named! He does find the world to be rather a scary place and would like a home away from any busy roads. He is looking for a pet free, adult home, preferably with a female household
8. Zoe
Lovely Zoe is a very friendly girl who just loves to play with her toys. She loves to play with her handlers or volunteers but will also happily play with them by herself. Zoe walks very nicely on her lead and is very food motivated so any training with her should be a breeze. She is best suited to a home without kids or pets.
