Digne isn’t short of suitors during the January transfer window, although Benitez stressed Everton have only received enquiries and no concrete offers have been made.

Among those chasing Digne’s signature are Newcastle in their bid for Premier League survival.

Following their Saudia Arabian takeover, Eddie Howe is hoping to prise the former Barcelona defender to St James’ Park.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano delivered an update on Digne’s future and revealed that he’s not keen on a move to Newcastle.
