Paris Saint-Germain have explored the idea of Everton forward Richarlison replacing Kylian Mbappe should he leave this summer.

The France international is into the final year of his contract and PSG could look to cash in on him rather than losing him for free next summer.

If Mbappe, who has been the subject of interest from an unnamed English club, does depart then the Parisians could look to swoop for Richarlison.

The left-back became the club's youngest player aged 16 years and 176 days when coming off the bench in a 3-0 FA Cup defeat of Sheffield Wednesday in January.

Small has been offered a professional contract to remain on Merseyside but turned it down.

But with 12 months remaining of his scholarship, the 17-year-old has opted to cut ties with the Toffees.

Small now looks set to join Southampton and Everton will receive a compensation fee likely to be decided by tribunal.

It could be up to £5 million. (Football Insider)
