A host of Premier League clubs - including Liverpool and West Ham - have been keeping tabs on Fulham’s Fabio Carvalho this season.

The 19-year-old’s contract at Craven Cottage is set to run out at the end of the current campaign and has so far turned down any offer to remain at the club beyond the summer.

Carvalho has seven goals in the Championship this season, including a brace during Fulham’s 6-2 win over Birmingham City earlier this week.

The teenager has been superb since he broke onto the scene last year and Liverpool are now eager to snap him up this month before the chase heats up.

The Reds are preparing to make a £5 million move for the Fulham academy product before the January transfer window ends, according to reports.

The Cottagers will be keen to keep hold of Carvalho to help them win promotion this season, however they could risk losing him for only a compensation fee in the summer.

However, Sky Sports have claimed that Marco Silva’s side are still working on a new deal for the attacker and the London club are ‘hopeful’ that they can keep hold of their star asset.

Fulham will have to be quick to act if they are to prevent Carvalho from swapping London for Liverpool, with former Cottagers winger, Harvey Elliott, showing that sometimes the grass is greener.

Liverpool paid Fulham over £4 million when they snapped up Elliott in 2019 - a record compensation fee for a 16-year-old.

The teenager has since won the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup, enjoyed a brilliant loan spell with Blackburn Rovers and was set to be a first team regular this season before he suffered serious injury.

Elliott’s success at Anfield so far could make following in his footsteps very tempting for Carvalho.
