Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino are both doubts for Liverpool ahead of the Carabao Cup final.

Jurgen Klopp admits it’s too early to say whether Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino will be available for Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

The pair suffered respective ankle and muscle injuries in last week’s 2-0 Champions League win against Inter Milan at the San Siro.

As a result, they were absent for the Reds’ 3-1 victory over Norwich at the weekend.

Liverpool welcome Leeds United to Anfield on Wednesday before playing Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday.

Klopp’s still unsure Jota and Firmino will be fit for either game, though.

Speaking to the club website, Klopp said: “Yes, it’s too early. “I don’t even know if it will be a late decision or not; how I said, it’s too early. I saw them both today, they both look great – but those two always look great.

“We have to see how the specific issues develop but we obviously will try everything.”
