Liverpool fans have delivered their verdict after Manchester City increased their lead at the top of the Premier League - with many urging Jurgen Klopp to now focus on the cup competitions.

Kevin De Bruyne’s second half strike was enough for the Citizens to beat fellow title hopefuls Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, putting Pep Guardiola’s side 13 points clear of their nearest rivals.

And while Liverpool still have two games in hand on City, they are 14 points behind the current favourites.

For many supporters, that could be a mountain that is too high to scale in the second half of the season - with many urging manager Klopp to instead focus on the domestic and continental cup competitions.
