Liverpool are not planning a move for Porto forward Luis Diaz this month.

The Colombia international has been in rampant form for the Portuguese giants this season, recording 14 goals and five assists.

However, The Athletic claims that the Reds aren't going to make a swoop during the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old has a release clause of around €80 million (£67 million) in his Porto contract.

But Liverpool don't see that as value given that Diaz would only be a deputy to Mo Salah and Sadio Mane in their current squad.

Divock Origi is attracting a host of interest from Italy over a potential free transfer.

The striker, who's currently out injured, has yet again been down the pecking order at Anfield this campaign.

Nevertheless, he has scored five goals in just 10 appearances.

Origi is claimed to be out of contract in the summer, according to Sky Sports, and that means he's now able to sign a pre-contract with European clubs ahead of the summer.

It is claimed that three Serie A outfits have approached the Belgium international over such a move.

However, Origi's Liverpool contract could be automatically extended by a year depending on the number of starts that he makes.

On the subject of Italy, that's the country where Nat Phillips could well end up plying his trade.

The centre-back has been given the green light to depart this month. He's fifth-choice centre-back and Liverpool value Phillips at around £15 million.

The Reds have already rebuffed a £7 million bid from a Premier League club.

But Serie A is now a possible destination for Phillips, per The Athletic.

Phillips was highly impressive in Liverpool's 2-1 victory over AC Milan at the San Siro last month.

His performance is said to have alerted plenty of clubs wanting his services.

The likes of Newcastle United and West Ham are among the Premier League clubs to be linked.
