Salah’s Egypt fell to defeat against Senegal in the AFCON final in Cameroon on Sunday evening.

His Anfield team-mate Sadio Mane netted the winning penalty after 0-0 draw following extra-time.

Mane is now celebrating his country’s maiden title, with Salah left disappointed.

The winger had an arduous tournament, with Egypt’s final four games all going to extra-time.

There have been some concerns from fans about whether Salah will be suffering from fatigue, having racked up 480 minutes in 11 days.

Boost for Leicester

However, according to The Times, Salah is in no mood to mourn the loss and is keen to get back to Liverpool duty.

It’s claimed he will be back in training on Tuesday, with the Reds welcoming Leicester City to Anfield on Thursday evening.

Salah has been in imperious goalscoring form for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.

He’s netted a remarkable 23 goals in just 26 appearances.

While Liverpool have coped in his and Mane’s absence, having the pair back will be a major boost.
