We take a look at Jurgen Klopp’s side’s diary and assess when the clash could be rearranged for.

When won’t the game take place?

There are certain gaps in the fixture list but that doesn’t mean the games can be filled in.

For example, Liverpool and Leeds both have a blank weekend on Saturday 5 February. That’s down to the FA Cup fourth round going ahead.

However, that’s because World Cup qualifiers in South America and Asis are taking place.

Liverpool would be without Alisson, Fabinho, Roberto Firmino (all Brazil) and Takumi Minamino (Japan).

The African Cup of Nations will also be ongoing at the same time, with Mo Salah (Egypt), Sadio Mane (Senegal) and Naby Keita (Guinea) all away.

There is also an international break between March 21-March 29 when European countries play.

Much could depend on how far they go in the Champions League, though.

The Reds face Inter Milan in the last 16, with the first leg arranged for Wednesday 16 February and the return clash on Tuesday 8 March.

The quarter-final first-leg ties of Europe’s elite club competition are earmarked for Tuesday 5 April and Wednesday 6 April and the return games a week later.
