Billy Ocean returns to Bootle's Salt and Tar for 2026 with ticket pre-sale details announced.
Billy Ocean fans will be able to buy tickets for his highly-requested return to Merseyside this morning (Wednesday, January 28).
An icon of British music, with a career spanning five decades and over 30 million records sold, the 76-year-old’s distinctive blend of pop and soul has earned him a mountain of accolades and global recognition.
Billy performed at Bootle’s Salt and Tar Music Weekender last summer, with local music fans, with organisers since noting an incredible demand for the soul legend’s return. In exciting news for his local fans, it was confirmed on Monday (January 27) that he will headline this year’s festival on Thursday, August 13, joined by “special guests”.
Due to updates to the site, the 2026 festival is relocating to neighbours Lock & Quay, with The Waterboys, The Saw Doctors and Nile Rodgers & Chic also set to perform this summer.
Salt and Tar said Billy Ocean was its “most in-demand show to date”, adding: “We can’t wait to welcome Billy back.”

A Live Nation pre-sale will begin at 9.00am on Thursday (January 29), with general sale from 9.00am on Friday (January 30). Tickets will be available here.
