Liverpool FC’s Mo Salah set to be added to the Egyptian school curriculum

Salah’s remarkable emergence as one of the world’s best players, and his contributions off the pitch will be included in both primary and secondary school books all over the country.

Younger children will be taught about Salah’s on-field heroics only for both his club and country.

Meanwhile, secondary school children will also be taught about the winger’s charitable acts and will explore how he’s given back to society.

This comes after Salah became the first player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick at Old Trafford, as Liverpool dismantled their bitter rivals Manchester United, in a game that also saw Salah overtake Didier Drogba, to become the highest scoring African in Premier League history with 107 goals.

In what was a slow start to his career, Salah has played for Al Mokawloon, FC Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina, Roma and finally settled and rose to world-class status and fame under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

After signing for Liverpool for a modest £37 million back in 2017, Salah was keen to shake the flop status he got with Chelsea, and it’s safe to say he has done that.

Since arriving on Merseyside, the Egyptian superstar has won the Premier League Golden Boot twice, broken the record for most goals in a Premier League season, won the Premier League, Champions League, PFA Player of the Year and was voted third in the 2018 FIFA Men’s player award.

These heroics domestically, as well as helping his home country Egypt to participate at the 2018 World Cup has placed him on the school curriculum, with millions of Egyptian kids hoping to emulate the 29-year-old.
