I’m an SEO and trends writer for National World creating content on sites across the UK including Edinburgh Evening News, Glasgow World, The Scotsman.
I write a mix of national and regional content but specialise in TV, arts and entertainment, politics and property. I am originally from Exmouth in Devon and have a Journalism and Politics degree from De Montfort University in Leicester.
Before joining National World I was a writer and deputy editor for The Indiependent where I interviewed bands such as Alt-J and produced live reviews for up-and-coming talent across the UK. I have a background in writing human interest stories, from talking to activists in Afghanistan and India to uncovering the hard truth’s of gambling addiction.
I am most proud of the variety of pieces I have published since I started at National World - from helping those in need find foodbanks over the national holidays, covering breaking events such as Queen Elizabeth II's death and building a property series that attracts thousands of readers each week.
Outside of work, I am an avid audiophile who spends most of his time playing instruments, producing music and attending gigs such as Remi Wolf and Injury Reserve. I am also a life-long Manchester United supporter and a general sport fanatic, and love to stay fit and healthy.
