More than twenty restaurants in and around Merseyside are featured in the latest edition of the Michelin Guide.
The Guide awards up to three Michelin Stars for excellence to a select few establishments, while it awards Bib Gourmands to choice eateries and recommends others.
Sadly, no restaurants in Merseyside currently have a Michelin Star, however, two eateries in nearby Aughton have one Star, with a third having a whopping two Stars and a Michelin Green Star.
Despite Liverpool being a Michelin Star desert, many restaurants in and around the city are recommended - - such as 8, The Art School, Belzan, Manifest and more - in the prestigious Michelin Guide which is updated monthly..

9. Covino - Chester, Cheshire
π118 Northgate Street, Chester CH1 2HT. π The Michelin Guide says: "It might offer over 150 wines β including organic and low-intervention choices β but this sweet, intimate establishment is more than just a wine bar. The daily menu is designed with sharing in mind and features Mediterranean-inspired dishes with some punchy flavours; these include whole fish, meats butchered in-house and creative vegetable options. The friendly team help keep the atmosphere relaxed and have a good knowledge of both the menu and the wine list." | Covino Photo: Covino

10. Da Noi - Chester, Cheshire
π63 Bridge St, Chester CH1 1NG. π The Michelin Guide says: "To say that your hosts at this little Italian restaurant are passionate would be an understatement. Chef-owner Valentina Aviotti and her husband Fabrizio bring pride and personality to all that they do, with Valentina's Italian heritage coming across in freshly made, authentic Italian cooking which follows the seasons and comes in the form of a tasting menu. Wine flights are available and the list is Italian-dominated." | Da Noi Photo: Da Noi

11. Fell Bistro - Longridge, Lancashire
π4 Berry Lane, Longridge PR3 3JA. π The Michelin Guide says: "This endearing little bistro is is found on the main high street of a busy market town in the Ribble Valley and is named after the nearby Longridge Fell. The ground floor, with its open kitchen and chefs on display, is the engine room, while upstairs it's much quieter. The menu has something for everyone, from mature local steaks to delicious fresh fish, all cooked with care, knowledge and understanding." | UGC Photo: UGC

12. Freemasons - Wiswell, Lancashire
π8 Vicarage Fold, Wiswell BB7 9DF. π The Michelin Guide says: "This delightful pub is tucked down a narrow lane in a lovely Ribble Valley village. Downstairs itβs all flagged floors, low beams and open fires, while the antique-furnished upstairs is a little more elegant. Chef-Owner Steven Smith has his own distinct style, often blending numerous flavours, textures and cuisines in one dish β steamed sea bass with Thai mussel curry and tempura tenderstem broccoli, for example. For something a little different, explore the experiences available in "Mr Smith's", like the chef's table and the kitchen bench." | Freesmasons at Wiswell Photo: Freesmasons at Wiswell
