‘If These Walls Could Sing’ tells the untold story of the Abbey Road studio, which is still considered ‘the heart of the music industry.’

It features archive footage and session tapes from multiple stars, including the likes of Noel Gallagher and Elton John.

The Disney+ original  documentary, which is directed by Paul’s daughter, Mary McCartney, 53, guides the audience through several decades to see and experience the creative magic that makes it the most famous studio in the world.

The Beatles have become synonymous with Abbey Road Studios, as they recorded most of their music there, and their 11th studio album, from 1969, was named after the studio. The album’s infamous cover art also shows the band walking across the zebra-crossing outside.

The remaining two Beatles were also joined on the red carpet by their wifes, Nancy Shevell, 63, and Barbara Bach, 75. As well as Paul’s fashion designer daughter, Stella McCartney, 51, and his musician, son James McCartney, 45.

Spice Girl, Melanie Chisholm, singer Celeste and fashion designer, Daphne Guinness, also made appearances at the event.

This documentary comes after the success of The Beatles: Get Back, a Disney+ documentary directed by multi Academy Award-winner, Peter Jackson.

Jackson’s Beatles documentary went on to win five Creative Arts Emmys at the 2022 ceremony, including the ‘Outstanding Documentary Or Nonfiction Series’ award.

The Beatles docuseries left fans with mixed reviews due to its incredibly long running time, with three episodes and each instalment spanning about two to three hours long.

One fan took to Twitter to post their feedback on The Beatles: Get Back, writing: ““Watched all of Get Back!! For hxc Beatles fans I’m sure it wasn’t long enough, but for me, in my twisted opinion, you could cut 2 hours out of it easily.”

Whilst another fan wrote: “The Beatles: Get Back tapes, was an amazing visualisation of genius creating art and building out a legacy within the span of 22 days, I’m absolutely speechless.”

‘If These Walls Could Sing’ is set to release globally on 16 December on Disney+, but has been delayed until 6 January for UK and Ireland audiences.
