‘Exploring’ - Fabrizio Romano offers update as Liverpool eye two targets

Liverpool are now preparing for another FA Cup clash as they look to improve on a disappointing season so far. Midfielder search

Liverpool are said to be searching for a centre midfielder to sign ahead of the January window closing in around two weeks.

That’s according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who said on his YouTube channel: “Liverpool are exploring possibilities for a new midfielder to sign in these days, so let’s see if they will find the right one or they will only focus on the summer’s main target, Jude Bellingham, in the race with Man City, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

“But for sure, Liverpool are looking at the market for a potential new centre-midfielder in the final days of January.”

Summer targets

Liverpool are already said to have identified two targets ahead of the summer window.

We already know that the Reds are planning to spend much more in the summer than in January, especially with their ownership situation a little uncertain. And The Times are now saying that Liverpool have already started planning for the summer, with two targets identified at this point.

It’s claimed Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham and Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes are both targets for the Reds, with Klopp desperate to revamp his midfield ageing ahead of next season.
