Services at Liverpool Lime Street station are set to be disrupted again after a long-standing dispute between the RMT and Network Rail. 14 train operating companies will be striking on November 3 & 5, including Avanti West Coast.

Dandy storyboard of Sir Paul McCartney goes on display

A Dandy storyboard is on display at the Liverpool Beatles' Museum. In an interview in 1963, Sir Paul McCartney said it was one of his life ambitions to feature in the comic. McCartney's dream was realised by cartoonist Nigel Parkinson as the musician was featured in the final edition in 2012.

River of Light returns

River of Light is illuminating the waterfront across 17 nights until Sunday, 6 November, showcasing ten artworks from a host of local, national and international artists along a 2km route. The theme of this year's event is Unexpected Twist, in a nod to the World Gymnastics Championships.
