Stephen Graham spotted on set of Peaky Blinders as filming for new Netflix movie continues
Scouse actor Stephen Graham has been spotted on the set of the new Peaky Blinders film for the first time.
The 51-year-old was seen onboard a narrowboat dressed in a period costume outside the Tap and Spile pub on Gas Street Basin in Birmingham, on Monday (October 21). Usually a busy part of the canal network, the area was shut down and transformed into a wartime set.
Kirkby-born Graham played the role of Hayden Stagg in the sixth season of the Peaky Blinders original series and returns for the highly-awaited movie alongside Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck.
Being produced for hit streaming service Netflix, made in association with BBC Film, the movie will also feature Hollywood stars such as Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan and Tim Roth.

Set in Birmingham, much of the original BBC TV series, which is set in post-WWI Britain, was filmed at locations across Merseyside, including St George’s Hall and Liverpool Cathedral, and film production crews have already been spotted in Aintree and Liverpool city centre.
Lead-actor Cillian Murphy is reprising his role as notorious gangster, Thomas Shelby, and was also spotted in Birmingham this week, riding through Cornwall Street on horseback. Wearing Shelby’s trademark flat cap, the Irish actor could also be seen with fake blood trickling down his cheek while wearing what appeared to be a heavily mud-stained jacket and suit.
The film, titled the Immortal Man, will be continuation of the multi-award-winning, six-season series, set during World War II. Discussing the movie, creator Steven Knight has told fans to expect something “extraordinary.”
