Liverpool weather: Met Office forecast as 'autumn heat blast' of over 20°C predicted
The Met Office’s latest forecast has predicted that temperatures across the county could rise substantially following the recent cold snap and the unsettled weather Hurricane Kirk swept in from the Atlantic last week. However, meteorologist Tom Morgan has said that the highest temperatures will be felt across southern and eastern areas.
He said: "Temperatures are going to rise gradually, peaking probably on Wednesday in eastern areas, and we might well see in some spots 20ºC, and 22ºC is not out of question, probably in eastern England - so East Anglia down towards the south east. It's possible we could exceed 20ºC in London but the peak temperatures might well be up towards the home counties and up to Cambridgeshire.”

However, the heat blast is likely to be short-lived rather an extremely late Indian summer, Mr Morgan stating that more wet and windy conditions will settle in by next weekend.
The peak of the heat is likely to be around Wednesday (October 16), before making way for more seasonable temperatures. The Met Office forecast the 'highest possible' temperature in Liverpool and Merseyside on Wednesday could be 20ºC, but it is more likely to be around 18ºC, with some light rain.
Thursday will be dry and Liverpool will enjoy some sunshine, however, the 'highest possible' temperature drops down to 19ºC, which could be repeated on Friday, before light showers move in.
