'He's unbelievable' - Alan Shearer makes Jurgen Klopp observation that Liverpool fans will love

Liverpool laboured towards the break without scoring a goal but put four past Bournemouth after a Jurgen Klopp rethink

Alan Shearer was left stunned by Jurgen Klopp’s managerial credentials after Liverpool thrashed Bournemouth.

At half-time, the Reds looked destined for a frustrating evening on the south coast without Mohamed Salah to call upon. The scoreline was level and Bournemouth appeared to carry a threat going forward.

However, a tactical rethink at half-time worked wonders as Klopp moved Darwin Nunez centrally and moved Diogo Jota out wide. The duo ultimately bagged braces as Liverpool coasted to a 4-0 rout.

The result moved the Reds five points clear at the top of the Premier League, with Manchester City boasting a game in hand. Earning all three points was more satisfying for Liverpool as they did so without several first-team stars - including Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, former Newcastle United and England striker Shearer lauded Klopp for his in-game management. The 53-year-old also claimed Liverpool will take some catching in the Premier League title race.

"They’re going to take some pegging back this season,” Shearer said. “He’s good Klopp, isn’t he? He’s the sort of manager who’d drive you mad playing against him, you’d want to play for him wouldn’t you?

"He’s better than good by the way, he’s such a brilliant manager - he’s unbelievable. I know it’s sometimes annoying (Klopp on the touchline) but as a Liverpool fan you must love that, love his passion, love his care, and attention to detail for their football club. As a fan that’s what you want as a manager."
