Now the focus returns to maintaining the pressure on Manchester City in the race for the top-flight crown.

Jurgen Klopp's side can move within three points of the leaders before they play bitter rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

Liverpool will be without Thiago Alcantara (hamstring) against West Ham, while Roberto Firmino (muscle) may again be absent.

Angelo Ogbonna was a key player for West Ham at the start of the season.

However, he suffered a knee injury in November and required surgery. The centre-back continues his recovery and won't be back any time soon.

Vladimir Coufal recently underwent a hernia operation. The right-back is ruled out for the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, defender Arthur Masuaku has been absent for the past six games with a knee issue and Ryan Fredericks has a groin complaint.

Mark Noble was missing from West Ham's 3-1 FA Cup loss to Southampton on Wednesday and he's doubtful.

Aaron Cresswell was also unavailable against the Saints. However, Moyes revealed that the former Liverpool youth left-back should be available to face his boyhood club.

Tomas Soucek suffered a nasty gash to the face against Southampton.

However, the midfielder has revealed on social media that he feels 'ready to fight again' and declared himself for selection.

Finally, West Ham may not involve Andriy Yarmolenko amid his homeland of Ukraine being invaded by Russia.

Moyes has admitted that the forward may not be mentally 100% to play.

Last meeting

Liverpool suffered a 3-2 loss in the reverse fixture at the London Stadium in November.

An Alisson Becker own goal gave West Ham the lead before Trent Alexander-Arnold equalised with a superb free-kick.

But Pablo Fornals and Kurt Zouma put the Hammers in the driving seat in the second half and Divock Origi’s consolation goal for the Reds wasn’t enough.
