Bundesliga top scorer who 'dreams' of Liverpool move loves Egypt teammate Mo Salah

Liverpool are reportedly targeting a move for Frankfurt attacker Omar Marmoush who is currently top of the Bundesliga scoring charts.
The Reds added Federico Chiesa to their armoury this summer making their attack a six-pronged one with Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz. It is clearly a fantastic line-up of options for Arne Slot and we’ve already seen them star in the early parts of the season when called upon.

We know Salah is in the final year of his deal which raises a potential exit but, after that, everyone looks set for a few more years given most deals run out in 2027 or beyond.
Yet, they are being linked with a move for Salah’s international teammate Marmoush. Currently tearing it up in the German top-flight, the 25-year-old has finally unearthed his potential and is in flying form right now. It’s 10 goal contributions (seven goals, three assists) in seven games so far and can play anywhere across the front line. As it stands, he leads Harry Kane in the goal scorer rankings.
He previously hailed the Liverpool star: "I'm learning everything from Mohamed Salah on and off the pitch," Marmoush told the Bundesliga's official Facebook account. "It's a great honour to play alongside one of the best players in the world."

According to Christian Falk, head of SportBILD in Germany, Marmoush dreams of joining Liverpool or Arsenal. However, Frankfurt is not prepared to sell the player in January and has set a price tag of €40-50m for the summer window. The journalist opened up on the player’s situation in an interview with Caughtoffside, detailing the previous interest from West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

That said, West Ham would have a chance next summer. Though, it shouldn’t go unsaid that Marmoush still dreams of playing for top Premier League clubs like Liverpool or Arsenal.
