Manchester City star Phil Foden has already issued his verdict on Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.

It has been an intriguing start to the Premier League season, and one that has left Liverpool looking up at their usual title rivals.

The Reds have picked up just two points from their first three games, leaving them five points behind City and seven points behind leaders Arsenal.

It has been an injury-riddled start to the campaign for Klopp’s men, and they need to get their act together quickly to avoid losing even more ground.

Most are expecting another closely run title race this season, and Liverpool will want to be part of it.

Thankfully, there is plenty of time remaining to make up ground, and City star Foden is not writing the Reds off yet.

“I mean, Liverpool are always a dangerous team, they have a great manager and they’re so dangerous as a team,” he told Amazon’s YouTube channel.

“Not only just them, there are a lot of teams who have strengthened, so who knows? It should be a great season.”

City are undoubtedly favourites to take top prize again having won four of the last five Premier League titles.

Though, there are potential new candidates, with Arsenal getting off to a fine start, while Tottenham are also being backed to make a title charge this season.

It is set up to be one of the most exciting title races in recent years, though, there is always the danger of City running away with it.

Pep Guardiola’s men have been extremely consistent over recent years, and there is little margin for error.

Liverpool know that more than most after missing out last season despite putting together an excellent campaign.

The Reds will need to pick up from here to avoid giving themselves an insurmountable task.
